About us

Our bespoke approach to efficient and dedicated multi-threaded physics has afforded us a unique opportunity to approach traffic simulation with a world’s first truly massive scale real-time simulated emergent AI model.

An entire city of AI-aware drivers can operate physically simulated vehicles, adapting to changing road network and environmental conditions. This allows micro and macro testing and results; the output of detailed data sets; and allowing human users to engage the network in VR to experience network modelling in real-time.

VR DRIVER TRAINING

 

Using detailed and physically accurate vehicle physics, VR support, steering wheel and pedal hardware/peripherals, six-axis motion simulation and our emergent AI traffic simulation, we are able to create a comprehensive and true-to-life learn to drive experience that can be delivered to drivers of all skill levels for any number of vehicle types.

GOATi TRAFFIC SIMULATION

 

Our 'ground up' approach to traffic simulation allows the flexibility to design an intersection or road network and then run emergent AI to test intersection performance in real-time, create videos and generate reports.

This emergent AI system allows for real-time traffic adaptation to conditions changing on the fly, including signal changes, time of day, rain, snow, traffic incidents etc. Users can even get onto the road and drive as a part of the simulation and experience the network from a road users point-of-view and test traffic adaptability.

This is all achieved with a behavioural based system where our AI are able to;

  • Operate vehicles built upon detailed and advanced vehicle physics, calculated in real-time

  • Have unique behaviour profiles

  • Use real-time path-finding

  • Have road network and traffic awareness that they use to decide on appropriate/desired behaviours

  • Respond to changing weather and traffic conditions. e.g. reduced tyre friction in wet weather, dynamic 'gap acceptance' tolerances etc...

  • Respond to humans drivers interacting with them within the simulation
